Dicky Graham is an artist living and working in East London who this year won "State-of-the-art" art competition at the Royal College of Art judged by Hamish Dewar, art restorer, Alan Grieve, Chairman of the Jerwood Foundation, Pilar Ordovas, Chrisites Auctioneers head of contemporary painting and Brian Stewart, photographer. Dicky has a solo exhibition at F-art on Thursday 29th May -– a must see for those who wish to delve back into the nostalgic realm of their childhood and view the likes of over sized caterpillars made from pianos and birds made from sewing machines. Mainly there will be a show of 10 dog faces assembled from old junk. Dicky has named them "ouR Mutt's", with which he notes them to be a reference to the father figure of the "ready-made", Marcel Duchamp, who first defined the concept of the "found-object". All dog lovers and their dogs are welcome to the exhibition, its going to be barking mad!
We will also be exhibiting the drawings of USA artist Jason Oaks. Drawings will be available unframed and framed and are from a new series of drawings produced in 2007/2008. Jason has exhibited extensively in the United States and we are very happy to have him exhibiting his beautiful work at f-art.
We have new sculptures by Oliver Chavatte and a new board game by Simone Lia ( Carbon Press ).
We will be also stocking a Limited Edition print by Wayne Chisnall.
Stephen Davids will be showing a series of new drawings both framed and unframed. The work is Stephens continued observations on life, love and his exploration of the art of drawing.
